Description
The MEBAxtreme 800-800 is a two-column, linear-guided band saw built for heavy-duty production cutting of solid bar, tube and profile at a 90° cut angle. It handles cross-sections up to 800 mm in width, height and diameter, running a 9,500 x 67 x 1.6 mm blade at cutting speeds of 15 to 150 m/min. A frequency-controlled 14.5 kW AC drive delivers high torque at low energy consumption, while hydraulic full-stroke clamping and continuous cutting-pressure monitoring keep the cut stable across mixed materials. The linear column guidance damps vibration to protect the blade and improve surface quality, and the machine weighs roughly 6,500 kg. As a single-cut machine it suits carbon and alloy steels, stainless, aluminium and harder titanium or nickel-based alloys in metalworking and heavy fabrication.
