The BDL-1250/9D is Peddinghaus's flagship beam drill line, built around three drill assemblies totalling nine carbide spindles that can run the same or different diameters simultaneously. Each assembly is driven by a 25 HP (18.5 kW) Siemens servo motor spanning a 145–1800 RPM speed range for fast, clean penetration. It works profiles up to 50 in (1270 mm) wide — beams, channel, angle, tube and flat bar — combining drilling, tapping, countersinking and four-axis carbide scribing in a single pass. Break-Through Detection, minimum-quantity micro-mist lubrication and AccuMeasure roller-feed positioning sustain throughput above 200 tons per 40-hour week, with all programming handled in Peddinghaus's Raptor 3D CAD/CAM software.
