The PeddiWriter automates the layout and fit-up marking that fabrication shops traditionally perform by hand. Two fully independent plasma torch assemblies, each on its own axis, let the machine write unique characters on two surfaces at the same time and reach speeds far beyond carbide scribing. A mechanical roller probe continuously tracks the material surface so the marking distance stays constant without repeated probing sequences, while the Roller Feed Measurement system holds positional accuracy despite deviations in the stock. Because the marks are produced by plasma arc, they stay clearly legible on rusty, scaled or shot-blasted steel and reliably designate where cutting and welding must occur.
